The W126 S Class, launched in December 1979, represented a leap forward in engineering, comfort and safety for Mercedes. It replaces the W116 line and was the second series to carry the S-Class or Sonderklasse (special class) designation. It’s a little hard but your finger on what makes these so special, but in short, it is the first ‘classic’ Mercedes that really is a modern car.
This 500SEL has received a bare metal re-spray. A wide variety of new seals and parts were replaced in the process and it has the most stunning exterior finish. With an original 60,000 miles, it drives like a new car and provides all of the luxury and performance synonymous with this model.
